  Karen's house is a perfect haven nestled in the green hills of Somerset. the location is a perfect 5 mins drive or 20 mins walk into Wells. The house itself... read more is sat in a beautiful courtyard garden, within the body of the main house. Inside - the house is both stylish and comfortable and has the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in ... a truly perfect night sleep! An added touch is that this is B&B and so we were left delicious treats of local sausages and bacon and eggs from our neighbors - the Sussex chickens. We loved this place so much, we have diverted our planned summer holiday to come back and enjoy once again. Thank you Karen and Estra for all of your very warm hospitality.

  The Coachhouse is cosy, well equipped and comfortable. It has two good sized bedrooms, one overlooking Karen's, the host, beautiful garden and beyond to Well's, the city's Cathedral and surrounding... read more countryside.
The Coachhouse is well situated for a walk into Well's, approx 30 minutes off road, where there is a market on Saturdays and Wednesdays and some lovely pubs, restaurants and coffee shops. There is also the Bishops Palace and the Cathedral to visit.
We took our bikes and Karen let us store them in the garage, so they were locked away safely. We cycled nearly everyday. On the national cycle route number 3, we cycled to the Glastonbury Tor, a must for the surrounding veiws and then went into Glastonbury. We also cycled to Wookey Hole and then up onto the Mendip hills. There is a lovely pub at Priddy, to stop for lunch!
We also visited Bath and went to the Thermae Baths, book in advance! We went to a lovely greek restaurant afterwards, The Meze Jar, superb greek food! Again book, it was very popular!
All in all we had a lovely time, it was the first week in August, but the weather was very mixed. The Coachhouse and it's location made up for the weather and we really enjoyed our stay.

The breakfast left for us was a lovely touch! We walked into Wells several times via pathways and through the fields so the location was perfect for what we wanted. Karen was on hand for any questions and tips of where to eat and was very responsive in all our communication. Thanks Karen - we had a great time!

(and dog friendly!)We've now stayed there twice - both times to see the amazing Carnival which takes place... read more in November - this place is great to see this in Wells but would also be good for Shepton Mallett and Glastonbury too (a short drive to both!). Details of the carnival can be found here somersetcarnivals.co.uk/..... and don't miss the lovely Wells market on Saturday and Wednesday..... local proper cider at Roger Wilkins Farm…. and of course the beautiful Wells Cathedral itself!The place itself is very comfy, with two large squishy sofa's, a dining table big enough for everyone - an eat in kitchen for four - microwave, small dishwasher - and supplies of tea, coffee, milk, sugar, oil, vinegar etc. - all the essentials - plus fresh eggs from the chickens in the garden!If you have dogs, it's a lovely location - we went on some lovely walks across Tor Hill (the Wells Tor Hill, not the Glastonbury one!), across to Dinder, along the old train line into Wells and across the meadows which has a paved footpath into the town

Karen's house is close to the historical sites of Wells and Glastonbury and at the same... read more time, is in the middle of the countryside offering lots of scenic walks in the woods and fields and along the rivers. The house is tastefully presented and well equipped. It is clean, light and airy. Karen is an outstanding host, friendly, generous and knowledgable about the history of Dulcote.

  We had a very relaxed stay and our two small dogs were made welcome. There was a super walk to Wells were we visited the Bishops Palce and enjoyed fish... read more and chips in the town on market day. We also enjoyed the fresh eggs for breakfast and added bonus. Lovely views of Karen's garden from the main bedroom and lounge area.

  Our stay at Little Fountains, Dulcote was just the break my sister and I had hoped for. We had a lovely welcome from our host, Karen, who even joined... read more us for a drink the evening we arrived, lovely lady. The cottage was very homey and comfortable and set in beautiful surrounds just on the outskirts of Wells itself. We had everything we could have wished for. Am already planning another visit.

  Karen welcomed us to the Coach House making us all, especially our daughter and dog feel at home. Our dog was provided with a bed and bowl and loved... read more her walks across the fields or along the Strawberry Line to Wells. A continental breakfast was there to get us started, the central heating was responsive, the gardens and views at sunset were beautiful. Everything we could wish for a home stay away from home.
